Battery Health & Ampere Meter: Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-30. Developer: Perseid Studio, contact: [email protected].

What the app does with your data

Battery Health & Ampere Meter measures everything on your phone. It has no account, no analytics of its own and no server. What it reads and records stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage:

The only network request the app makes on its own is the on or off command to your own smart plug, directly on your own network, at the address you entered. Shelly, Tasmota, ESPHome and Home Assistant answer plain HTTP, so this request is not encrypted; it never leaves your network unless you typed an internet address.

Usage access (optional)

If you switch on Usage access for the app, it reads which app was on screen and when, and when the screen was on or off, to split the battery drain it measured between apps ("Who drains the battery", an estimate). This is processed on the phone, only when you open that screen, and is never uploaded. The app explains this before it opens the system setting, and works without it.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location derived from the IP address and information about ad interactions to show and measure ads. In the European Economic Area and the UK you are asked for consent first, and you can change it any time in Settings, "Ad privacy choices". See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Purchases

"Remove ads" is bought through Google Play. We never see your payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether the purchase is active.

Permissions

Notifications: the charge alarm, the alerts you switch on, smart plug notices and a live charging line while the phone charges (asked only when you turn one of them on). Run at startup: only to keep the battery log and your alarm working after the phone restarts. Foreground service: only while the phone is plugged in, to follow the charge and act at your limit. Alarms & reminders (optional): only to ring the charge alarm on time. Usage access (optional): see above. Network: ads, purchases and your own Wi-Fi smart plug. CSV export saves only where you choose in Android's "Save as" dialog.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Battery Health & Ampere Meter: Datenschutzerklärung

Stand: 30.10.2026. Anbieter: Perseid Studio, Kontakt: [email protected].
